Celine Torres
Celine is a first-generation law student and proud Mexican American whose journey to becoming an advocate for employee rights was deeply influenced by her family’s history and values. Her grandfather came to the United States as a migrant farmer to support his wife and children in Mexico. He endured grueling working conditions, including intentional exposure to harmful pesticides, all while earning less than a livable wage. Stories like his have instilled in Celine a profound respect for the dignity of work and a strong commitment to ensuring that every worker is treated fairly. She understands that people go to work to provide for their families, and in today’s challenging economic climate, the way workers are treated should not make that essential task even more difficult.
Celine channels her passion and skills to advocate for employees facing workplace injustices. During law school, she honed her negotiation skills, achieving recognition as a two-time finalist and championship winner in negotiation competitions. These experiences have prepared her to secure favorable settlements for her clients, ensuring they receive the justice and compensation they deserve. Celine’s goal is to stand by workers, leveraging both her personal experiences and professional expertise to fight for their rights and create a more equitable workplace for all.
